Prayer for 賴政孝同學
(祈求早日康復)
Our Heavenly Father!
We
thank Thee for giving us comfort, ease, and happiness in life. We are indebted to Thee for providing us some
unusual opportunities to be re-connected to each other classmate, graduated
from Taida Waiwenxi at the class of 1963. We are thankful for chances of
e-mail, cell phone correspondences, or even actual reunions, big or small, in
Taiwan or overseas. With Thy blessing, we can even talk and see each other in
blood and fresh after so many years.
Father, we appreciate, under Thy affection and guidance, our being able
to talk to each other just as we did more than 50 years ago, enjoying hours and
time as pleasant as “yesterday once more”.
We would like to show our sincere gratitude continuously to Thee for
having taken good care of us ever since more than 50 years ago……
Father, while
we are spoiled by You and intoxicating ourselves as we used to be; we pray that
Thou continue to give us peace, shelter to hide our shame, shabbiness,
selfishness, greed, or indifference. We
pray that Thou forgive us for these sins we committed. We pray that Thou arouse
our good awareness and conscience to help those who need help. We pray that those classmates thought of
being out of contact can come to join us some day. We pray that those who joined the recent
reunion in Taiwan will come home safe and sound.
In
particular, may our sincerest prayers be said for a particular classmate of
ours. He is 賴政孝,
who used to be called Andy Lai, or Eugene Lai at Taida. Eugene came to the US
for Golf games in early September 2015, but was seriously injured at home on
September 10. He is currently receiving urgent
medical treatment at ICU, Medical School, at Stanford University, California.
He has been unconscious since admitted. We pray that using Thy power, care, mercy
and omnipotence, Thou can help him come to life. We pray that You heal him! We
pray that his condition will turn out stable soon, or even satisfactory; we
pray that slow but steady recovery be speedily and benevolently brought upon
him. We pray that all classmates around the world will be with him spiritually.
We firmly believe that Thou art the only being that can convert impossibility
to possibility. We pray that this child of Thine going astray will come to Thee
to enjoy Thy tender care and grace, and also to enjoy the mutual concern, love
and affection shown by his fellow classmates.
We are
saying these prayers in His name, A-Men!
Justin
Lai (賴正雄) and classmates in the US.
