【本曲特色】：

A.     歌詞：

美國青少年失戀的心聲：

Choo choo表示火車行走聲，而whoo, woo, whoo代表嗚笛聲。Gonna travel-on,…. Never coming back……因失戀負氣出走，決心不回頭。然後準備去一座孤單的城市(lonesome town)；投宿一家傷心的飯店(heart-broken)hotel。我是最笨的人(a fool such as there never was) 。回想失戀痛哭流涕(I cry a tear so well)- 《註：cry為一不及物動詞，本不能加受詞，但此處作及物用，a tear一滴淚水作其受詞，顯示年輕人的英語。流淚通常用shed tears. tear不用單數，因掉眼淚，不只一滴!! 如My tears fell when I saw you…, 但teardrop是正式用語.)

Got a one- way ticket to the blues….. 買張單程車票，搭上不歸路……(來回票叫round-trip) 傷心欲絕。blue原為形容詞，代表憂鬱，blues表示慢步舞曲。To the blues….. 則是很傳神的年輕人語言。買車票前往…. 之地，本應用ticket for +地方。

和月亮相關的情歌：

1)    「月兒彎彎照九洲」，這是1952年的電影-「一江春水向東流」之插曲，是首江蘇民歌，漁民生活為背景；「白天搖船夜補網….. 青山綠水風光好，漁船到處好停留，魚哥哥吹笛妹梳頭」…一幅漁村和樂圖。和台語歌「補破網」相比，歡樂更多。從影片看可能是江南美景。曲名不用大地，而甪九洲更羅曼蒂克。

2)    「望春風」--本曲描寫青春少女思春，雖無，真正詳述月亮情懷，但歌詞中兩句「月娘笑我是憨大呆，乎風騙M知」，令人陶醉，是作曲家李臨秋先生神來之筆，鄧雨賢作國。他將月亮及風擬人化(PERSONIFIED) ，”the moon mocking at my stupidity; I was fooled by the wind without knowledge.” 另外「想要問他驚歹勢，心內彈琵琶」(Fearing abrupt impoliteness, I dared not ask him, but somehow, I felt at heart joyful anxiety & suspense)，勢与琶押韻；而「心內彈琵琶」，比漢文的「七上八下」，高明許多。

請聼鄧麗君字正腔圓的台語，連轉音都十分道地!!

3)    “Moon River” (月河)- 電影「鐵凡尼早餐」(Breakfast at Tiffany’s) 中主題曲，由Audrey Hepburn 和George Peppard主演：
